Starting from scratch, the goal was simple: source the very best cattle possible and establish a program rooted in proven genetics and long-term consistency. That pursuit led to a relationship with Kelly Schaff of Schaff Angus Valley, where the foundation of the herd began. The first bull and females were carefully selected from SAV, and today, the entire program traces back to that same trusted source.

With a focus on replicating the strength and discipline of the SAV program on a more focused scale, Siegel Angus is committed to raising cattle that perform, both in the pasture and in the marketplace. Looking ahead, the long-term goal is to grow into a cooperative relationship with SAV, developing a herd that consistently produces bulls and females worthy of that program, and ultimately, cattle that can stand alongside those offered through SAV sales.
